Donation Drop-off Hours: Donations can be dropped off at 260 State Street (next door to our Drop-in & Resource Center) in New Haven Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00-4:00 pm or by appointment. For larger donations or for drives, please reach out to us by email or phone, (203) 624-6426, before dropping off so we can be sure to have enough volunteers to help sort.

Toiletries
ToiletriesDESK distributes toiletries and basic needs gear to adults who are living on the street. We are always in need of bar soap, deodorant, travel-size shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, disposable razors, and feminine hygiene products. Clothing & Other Goods
Clothing & Other GoodsDESK distributes clothing to adults who are living on the street. Because we have limited storage, we can only accept to seasonal items: in the cold weather months, we need coats, boots, heavy socks, pants, and long-sleeve shirts; in the warm weather months, we need hats, sneakers, light socks, shorts, and T-shirts. All year-round, we need underwear. About 80 percent of those we serve are adult men. Do you have hangers, too? We would be grateful for clothes hangers so that we can better store our clothes.
Because New Haven is currently short on shelter beds, we also distribute survival gear for unsheltered individuals. We are always in need of tents, sleeping bags, and blankets.

Organize a Drive
Organize a DriveHosting a drive is a great way to get more people supporting this critical work. You can host a drive by collecting items at your home, school, work, congregation, or wherever you find your community. As the point-person for the drive, you’ll be the glue! Simply fill out the form below, and we’ll draft up a flyer for you that can be shared electronically or printed.
Once your drive has ended, please email us at donate@deskct.org, or call (475) 238-8778, to set up a time to deliver the donations to DESK.
Want some help drumming up support? Consider hosting a Zoom happy hour or info session, and we’ll send a member of our staff or Board to tell your friends or coworkers more about how their donations will support those in need and answer any questions.
