DESK’s Board of Directors is composed of a diversity of community members who are responsible for ensuring the organization’s financial solvency and compliance with laws and best practices, as well as determining DESK’s long-term strategic direction.  In addition to being representative of the community, Board members serve as representatives to the community, bringing DESK’s message into schools, congregations, neighborhood associations, and elsewhere to help build a strong and broad network of support across the community.

New Board members are asked to make a three-year commitment and are expected to attend monthly meetings (virtual or in person) and join at least one Board committee.  Board nominees are vetted through our Nominations Committee and voted on by the full Board.  If you are interested in learning more or serving on our Board of Directors, please contact our Executive Director for more information.
